Broccoli, a restaurant named after a vegetable not indigenous to our country, can be expected to have a chic, alien interior, that aptly goes with the name. But surprisingly, what catches the eyes once entering, is nothing but the walls that are made from bamboo, and the Pictures on those walls, that are of village women working in the field and other native objects like seesaw and bamboo houses.All in all, it gives a feeling of being in a rustic environment, something that is bound to stir up memories of a beautiful village.
Paradox again! Now that the interior which apparently wears a native look, the waiter comes in with 'a menu 'the food is alien. However, the delicious Thai and Chinese delicacies will leave no ground where I, or dijsappointment. Starting from starters like Prawn on Toast, Chicken Satay, Steam Sui Mai (Dumpling), Tom Yam Soup, SzeChuan Hot Dragon Soup, the restaurant has Foil Chicken, Thai Lem C ick, Shanghai Chicken, Lobster, Peking Style Prawn, and various other items for main cursoe. lce cream and fruit salad are the desserts. The prices are quite affordable Tk. 110 - 250 for each appetizer and Tk. 120 - 250 for any item in the main course. Therefore, in order to enjoy delicious Thai and Chinese cuisines, but in an ambience that depicts the beauties of our motherland, Broccoli is the place.
